Do you offer in person sessions?

I am currently offering virtual sessions which allows clients to participate in therapy from the comfort and convenience of their homes.

Do you accept insurance?

I am currently in network with Cigna and Aetna. Many plans offer out of network mental health benefits which may enable you to submit claims to cover a portion of your expenses. I also accept FSA and HSA plans.

what should I ask my insurance company?

  • Plan’s coverage for an out of network mental health provider

  • Amount of deductible under your plan

  • The percentage of the cost of treatment that will be your responsibility once the deductible has been met

  • The process for submitting out of network claims

  • Any limitations on the number of visits per calendar year

  • Any limitations on telehealth

How does online therapy work?

Online therapy will be conducted through a secure hipaa compliant platform. Once you make an appointment, you will receive a link to join the session from the convenience of your home.

In addition to South Caroline where else are you license to see clients ?

I am licensed to provide telehealth services in the psypact states (35+).

How long do sessions last?

Most sessions are 50 minutes. Occasionally, we will meet for a longer or shorter session and we will agree to this in advance.

How do I schedule my appointment?

We will schedule our appointment via email or via my online scheduling system(client portal).For new clients, I offer a 15 minute free consultation to find out if we are a fit. Recurring appointments will be negotiated at the end of the session.

How long should I expect to be in therapy?

This is up to you. The length of therapy depends on the reasons you are seeking therapy as well as your goals . We will talk about your expectations at the beginning of session and I will be able to give you an honest answer about my recommendations.

What is a Good Faith Estimate ?

In accordance with the federal No surprises Act, you have the right to receive a good faith estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a good faith estimate in writing at least one business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a good faith estimate before you schedule and item or service
